London: Baloch activists in United Kingdom organised a protest demonstration against the attack on Daily Tawar’s office and killing and abduction of Baloch Journalists by Pakistani and Iranian security forces here on Friday.
The demonstration was staged in front of the office of Commonwealth Journalists Association in London.
A number of Baloch activists from United Kingdom participated in the protest to show their solidarity with Daily Tawar and condemn the abduction and killing of Baloch journalists. The protesters were carrying placard and banners imprinted with pictures of some abducted and killed journalists.
Talking to Balochwarna News the protestors said that Daily Tawar is the only Voice of Baloch people which reports impartially on Balochistan conflict. They said Tawar has played an important role to bring the plight of Baloch people to the attention of the International Community.
The Baloch activists alleged that Pakistani security forces have attacked and destroyed the office of Daily Tawar on the request of pro-Pakistani establishment Baloch parties. The participants of the protest said due to Tawar’s coverage of the boycott of Pakistani elections by pro-freedom parties, the state agencies and its allied Baloch parliamentary parties hatched the plan to suffocate the Voice of Justice and freedom – Daily Tawar.
The protesters urged the International Organisations that are working for the protection of journalists and freedom of press and the European Union, to take notice of Pakistani security forces’ attack on Daily Tawar and killing of Baloch journalists.
